Learn chords and strumming with Gordon Smithers at the Dogwood Pavilion and Glen Pines Pavilion Coquitlam. Each course contains 5-6 sessions in which you’ll work towards a set of songs. Harmonious Joan – Vancouver, Fairview

Joan offers both group classes and private lessons. We have tons of fun and cover many genres of music: rock, pop, folk, traditional, jazz, with an emphasis on rock and roll from the 60s and 70s. I’m a big Beatles fan! Group classes (adults or teens 16+) are online with two levels: Beginner and Advanced Beginner. Classes are small, comfortably paced, interactive, and the atmosphere is supportive and casual. Private lessons (adults or children 8+) are in-person near VGH, or online if you prefer. Ruby’s Ukes – Vancouver, Downtown

Established in 2009, Ruby’s Ukes is Vancouver’s Ukulele school with adult classes, workshops & annual Ukulele festival. From absolute novice to advanced player, Ruby’s Ukes has the perfect ukulele course for you. Ukulele Workshops and Lessons with Heather – Vancouver

Explore ukulele strumming and picking. Emphasis is on participation and fun! These lessons and workshops are designed for groups of 6 or more (age 12+) including grounds of friends, families, social & community groups, classrooms, and Pro D workshops. Lessons come in sets of six one-hour sessions and are available at Beginner, Novice, or Intermediate levels. Instruction includes pop, blues, folk and rock; basic music theory; scales and note reading. Workshops can involve one to three sessions; choose from Blues Basics, Can-Con, Strumming Fun, Learn to Transpose, Pick a Decade, Millennium Melodies, Reading Notation, Playing Orchestrations, or Singing Harmonies; other topics are also possible.
