Adult Ukulele Ensemble

Adult Ukulele Ensemble is a chance to join a group of motivated ukulele enthusiasts in an ensemble-based course designed to foster musical growth, confidence, and connection. Ideal for adult players (16+) with a foundation in ukulele, this program offers a supportive environment to further develop skills through ensemble playing. Players will explore ensemble techniques, play multi-part arrangements, improve playing techniques, and engage with a diverse repertoire that spans genres and styles. Beginner Ukulele 19+ – Coquitlam

Learn chords and strumming with Gordon Smithers at the Dogwood Pavilion and Glen Pines Pavilion Coquitlam. Each course contains 5-6 sessions in which you’ll work towards a set of songs. Beginner Ukulele Group Lessons – Fairview

Join us for relaxed, welcoming ukulele sessions where you’ll be strumming your first tunes in no time. Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply curious, this welcoming session is open to all ages, from children and teens to adults and seniors. Sheet music is provided. Classes run for 45 minutes at $25 per session, held at Fairview Baptist Church, 1708 West 16th Avenue in Vancouver, BC. Bring your ukulele and let’s make some joyful noise together. Group Ukulele Lessons with Joe Young – Vancouver

Learn to play this exciting instrument in a fun and non-judgmental environment. We teach strumming and singing as well as an introduction to note-reading and solo ukulele at three different levels. Harmonious Joan – Vancouver, Fairview

Joan offers both group classes and private lessons. We have tons of fun and cover many genres of music: rock, pop, folk, traditional, jazz, with an emphasis on rock and roll from the 60s and 70s. I’m a big Beatles fan! Group classes (adults or teens 16+) are online with two levels: Beginner and Advanced Beginner. Classes are small, comfortably paced, interactive, and the atmosphere is supportive and casual. Private lessons (adults or children 8+) are in-person near VGH, or online if you prefer. Never Too Late: Adult Ukulele

Never Too Late: Adult Ukulele is an engaging class designed for adult beginners (16+) to learn ukulele from the ground up. It offers a welcoming space to meet like-minded friends, make music together, and cultivate a shared passion for the ukulele. Students will learn essential techniques such as chords, light fingerpicking, strumming patterns, and basic music reading, while also developing ensemble skills. Classes take place Wednesdays 2-3 PM.
